AIMS extends its Pan African network to Senegal

With the aim to create 15 Centres across Africa over the coming decade, the AIMS Next Einstein Initiative (AIMS-NEI) has just launched its third institute in Senegal, following the creation of centres in South-Africa in 2003 and Nigeria in 2008.

AIMS-Senegal is currently encouraging students to apply for admissions at for the 2011/2012 academic year with the closing date for applications being March 31, 2011.

The founders of the project are Vinvent Rivasseau and Mamadou Sanghare. Some of the partner universities involved in this project include three universitites in Senegal, the French Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris, French universities Pierre et Marie-Curie (Paris VI) and Paris-Sud (Orsay), Ottawa University and Hefei University.
